What changes at midnight

Most of today’s hemp THC market does not survive the new definition.

1. 01 · Total THC

   0.3% dry weight

   The test is no longer delta-9 alone. Total THC — including THCA — must stay under 0.3% on a dry-weight basis.

2. 02 · Finished goods

   0.4 mg per container

   Final hemp-derived cannabinoid products above 0.4 milligrams of THC per container fall outside the hemp definition.

3. 03 · Synthetics

   Off the list

   Cannabinoids the plant cannot make, or that were manufactured outside it, are excluded — even if the math otherwise works.
